aaaahahahahahahaha

ricers. and age doesn't mean a damn thing. I am 17, do ALL of my own work, and am proud to claim to it. I have been working on cars since I was 10, and have rebuilt more engines than probably 99% of the people on this forum, so just cause your going through hair loss and prostate problems doesn't mean you have to PMS on here.

And they are right, the people on this forum flame entirely too much. The only reason I come here is because this is the only place that people from my area visit.

oh and teknics, your right, it does make flamage. I did the EXACT same thing, I couldn't believe how similar it looked, but mines polished on the inside ans slick as a mirror. I'm guessin yours is too now? and I also removed all extermal parts except tps and the thing the throttle cable hooks into.

NZ, um, just to dethrone you and reted from your self claimed rotary godness, the mod does make power on an N/A, it is def. worth it

Reted, for your thing on burnouts, we do it cause its fun, why not, it looks cool and has been done for years, just for the hell of it. by ALL AGES not just us young people.

yea im going to hand polish it after i use the dremel and dremel wand to make it as smooth as possible, right now it's shiny but not smooth shiny, gonna run a felt tip with some compound as well to try to get it smooth, then hand polish with a #000 steel wool and some polish.

I think it is more like Springer. Especially since you notice these "flame" threads get more replies and views then the others usually do.

But I seriously think that the first post on this thread was pretty cool, looks neat too I wanna port my TB now (I'm an NA, I know, I wont gain much . . . but it looks fun!)

teknics, it's a real shame your thread has turned into this, and I doubt it'll last much longer. I suggest when you've finished the work on your TB you post the pics in a new thread. I'm sure plenty of people (me included) would like to see them.
No, you're acting like communists and ***** because if anybody makes any posts that you don't agree with, it becomes an all out attack on said person. You want to call me ignorant? Get off your ******* high-horse hot-shot. Look at some of your buddies on here, like ReTARD and his cronies getting on Kevin's case for asking a simple question that didn't require wise-*** answers. If you wanna **** w/somebody, do it via PMs, don't trash a thread because you all think you're hot **** rotary gurus, because there's only one Rotary God, and that's FELIX WANKEL, not you.

Also, gotta love a forum where if you say something or disagree with a Mod on a subject, you get banned, it has happened before to quite a few people I know. And you people wonder why you have such a bad-rap. Two of my rotary friends first came here, read around, didn't like what they see, and I don't blame them. People ask questions seeking answers and advice, not being told it's stupid, they're "kids", etc etc etc.

So, there's my reasons, call me ignorant if you want. ****, ban me. I challenge you all to do it, let's see it.

Ban somebody for speaking out against the bullshit that has been seen on multiple instances, though I'm sure making yourselves look bigger by flaming me would make you look SO much tougher, internet bad-asses.

Kev: Nice job on your TB, keep us posted! And if your flames get bigger, DO get it on video again!

Whats the point in posting on a public forum if you can't take a few constructive feedback? If you can't take it then don't post simple as that. Go get your egos stroked elsewhere.

lol, thanks, I like to think so. and Teknics instead of using steel wool after the main porting, go over it with 400 grit sand paper by hand dry, then wet, the go over it with 1000 grit wet, it works wonders, I've done this for 2 FC's and a couple eclipses and a supra.

Rotary goodness? I'm sorry, but I must have missed the bit where I proclaimed my self to be anything. Please point it out to me.

Removing two throttle blades that are fully open anytime the engine is warm is going to make very little difference in power. Those throttles are not damped like they are on Turbos, so there's negligible improvement in throttle response. I never said it wasn't worth it, I said you will not get the benefits a Turbo does. Read a little more carefully before you claim someone else is wrong.

Don't worry about polishing by hand; just get is smooth to the touch. Polishing only the TB will has no effect of flow, and a slightly rough surface is actually preferable in intake systems, not a polished surface.

Don't be such a drama queen. He posted one incorrect fact, and was corrected on it, that's it. You guys have turned this thread into some endless tirade against people who'd rather make sure the correct info is posted instead of just letting everyone post whatever they liked. This is supposed to be a factual technical forum and you're arguing against that?
Look at some of your buddies on here, like ReTARD and his cronies getting on Kevin's case for asking a simple question that didn't require wise-*** answers.
He didn't ask a question, he posted incorrect info. Again, please read the thread before posting.
If you wanna **** w/somebody, do it via PMs, don't trash a thread because you all think you're hot **** rotary gurus, because there's only one Rotary God, and that's FELIX WANKEL, not you.
Again, I don't remember anyone claiming godlike status. In fact the only people who've used the word god are those hell-bent on trashing those with the most knowledge and experience. Stop making stuff up in a vain attempt to bolster your argument. And if you post in a public forum, you have to expect public answers. If you can't handle the answers, perhaps public forums aren't your thing.
Also, gotta love a forum where if you say something or disagree with a Mod on a subject, you get banned, it has happened before to quite a few people I know.
Who the hell mentioned banning? You're making stuff up again...
So, there's my reasons, call me ignorant if you want. ****, ban me. I challenge you all to do it, let's see it.
So far (amazingly) nobody has done anything to warrant banning, or even a warning. So why are you so paranoid about it?

At least teknics has done something useful and posted info and pics on it. Unfortunately most of the people who've leapt to his defence have contributed nothing useful at all to the forum. But they'd be the first to post screaming for help when they strike a problem with their car. There are lot of people like me on this forum who like helping people with their car's problems, and do so often, and yet dishing out info that isn't liked (even when correct) gets responses like this. It makes you wonder why we bother.

Considering the mods I've already done, I dont think it will show for everyone, but if I can get my car back on the road for a bit, I might do this mod (Cuz its free!) and portmatch my intake manifold at the same time. I mean, hey, whatever, why not? Its almost free.

Anyone want to loan me a dyno?
Till then, all I can give you is what the g-tech says. (Dynos are expensive, and I'm a poor college student!)

In all honesty, I cant see it making that big of a difference on an NA (Exept throttle responce). (Dont expect me to do this anytime soon, my car doesnt run cuz I need some half-shafts )

First, stock stock TII's don't do 13's. Second, I've seen Ted's extensive mod list. Stock? Ah, yeah right. Thirdly, if you measure a car's performance on quarter mile alone, then your automotive knowledge must be pretty limited. And lastly, be careful claiming you have a 13sec NA FC. People might call you on it and ask for proof...
if you are gonna talk hard..have a car to back it up...
So car ownership equals knowledge now? Should I be bowing down to the knowledge of some young kid with a bunch of money throw at their car? Sorry man, but that's just stupid. The real world ain't nearly that simple.

so anyway, finished up the tb porting, only got pics of it before the final smoothing as the cam battery died.

threw it onto the car, ran into a small main fuse problem (I/c touched alternator = blown fuse = no start), but got it running. just needs some adjustment and it should be good.

unfortunately i knocked the line to my boost gauge off somehow so cant check that "performance increase" and our roads are covered in about 1-2" of slush so i cant check the power increase or throttle response change.

but it does run, so thats good. had the tps soooooooooo off when i slapped it on the car thought my neighbors were going to shoot me but i got it low enough to handle and will fully adjust it tomorrow (finished at like 11:00pm)

cant wait until this summer when i finish building the 2bay shop, no more working in the snow for me!

i'll have the finished pics in a new topic sometime tomorrow, it wasnt all that bad in looking back at it, if i didnt have to do 5 thigns at once i couldve finished a LOT sooner (had to fix coolant leaks, had 2, replace and bench bleed master brake cylinder, remove cruise control, and do a bunch of other ****)

anyway new topic tomorrow sometime.

kevin.

I give props to teknics for posting pics and info on work he's doing, and to all the other people are sobbing and whining about criticism, shut up and keep your complaints to yourself. If you post something in the public, obviously you're going to get criticisized. If you don't like criticism, don't post. Simple as that. Look I'm not trying to flame, but it sucks when threads get turned into crap. By the way, sometimes the amount of time you've spent working on cars does not mean it is to the equivalance of having adaquet facts. Anyway, I hope Teknics, that you'll post your finished product when you're done in another thread. This one is turned to poop. Anyhow, good luck, and please dyno so we can see the kind of improvement it might make.

"Because somebody posted INCORRECT info"

So kevin modding his TB is wrong, so I challenge you to tell me just what is "CORRECT" info....doing something different, or doing what you do to your car. It's that simple.

Funny, you can't seem to leave this alone.  You feel compelled to reply in this thread anytime something is directly toward you.

Now, I ask you, how old are you?

as far as the v-tec motor comment.....read it again dude....it was a smart *** comment saying that some people act like ricers in here so why do you just throw a b16a in your car....it was a joke
Wow, I guess you couldn't take my reply as a joke either huh?
Do I need to insert smileys in my replies to you, so you understand it's a joke?

and as far as me being an noobie or whatever you call it....i highly doubt that,,im no veteran on rotaries but im no noobie either. i worked as a rb26 and an sr20 engine builder when i lived in japan..but lets not dicuss that ..it has nothing to do with rotaries.....and apparantly the number of post on a chat forum reflects how much actual knowledge you have right??? give me a break
Last time I checked, this was a 2nd generation RX-7 forum section.  Do you concede you don't know anything about them???  If so, then you have no real purpose on being here other than to ingest information.  Ergo, you have nothing constructive to add to this discussion.  All you're doing is criticizing my character, which is a waste of disk space at this point in time.

I'm not going to even touch the post count comment - it shows how ignorant you really are of what I was trying to get at.

Can I ask again - how old are you?

sounds like you are the one that needs the diapers to pamper you ego......but thats just my .02
I believe in being able to reply to any replies directed to me.  After I responsed to this flurry of threads, I drop my reponses cause then it becomes a waste of my time and disk space.

Really, you have no idea who I am or how I respond to things.  To assume that I need a "pamper" is not even close to what how thing are really are.

this whole thing is actually quite funny..so ill just watch you "experts" with your 7821 posts and maybe ill become an arrogant ******* someday....damn no wonder rotary owners get bad names...
I find it funny how debates like this bring out the "worms" out of the woodwork.  I see at least 3 of you who contribute very little to this particular section but have no problem criticizing me and my character.  Keep replying with your vulgar comments - it make you look so mature.  I never once made any vulgar comments to anyone, but it's obvious your immaturity (and a bunch of others) find the need to swear and call people names.  Hurray to you - you might think you're older because of your age (I peg you maybe 30, but I doubt it), but your actions show that you're still in high school.

the simple answer to the whole "flame shooting" thing would have been ..."no" end of story ..
Funny, I've done that before, and people always ask me to elaborate.  Guess I can't make all of the people happy all of the time...

I'd like to hear of an alternate option?  I would be more than welcome to find a better alternative, but I can't find one yet.

you have like 3 people who think they know everything and bash on anyone with a different idea or opinion. Then everyone else follows suit.
And you've found another forum that's unlike that?  You should poke your head into the Vishnu Performance board and watch them all kiss Shiv Patak's butt.  Hey, even the TeamFC3S.Org board is like that.

If anyone needs to grow up, i think its the 99% of people that posted in this thread, especially you RET.
I dont want to get into this argument, but i could tear apart a bunch of the things you said, just let it be known youre not the all mighty rotary know it all you think you are.
Wow, you could tear me apart, but you resist?  You should listen to yourself say that, and you tell me if you think you sound silly or not.

I make one exception to replying to this thread now - you're welcome to "tear" my post apart.  I will defend my positiion or concede to your superior knowledge.  If you can't do this, I concede to the saying:  "Put up or shut up..."
