TB/Dashpot question

The dashpot that (I would guess) stops the primary throttle plate from slamming shut on my TB doesn't really do anything. The primary slams shut anyway. Any harm in removing this? is there another perpose for it?

It does if it's adjusted correctly.

Not really, it'll just make a bit more of a jerk when you jump off the throttle. If yours isn't working properly and you're okay with how it feels then pull it off.

Nope.
