TB coolant line ?
TB coolant line ?
Hey all, the coolant line on the TB was put on there by Mazda to provide better atomization correct? There thinking would be to heat up the air blah blah blah. But we have found that this is a hinderance to making more power correct? I know that a cooler intake charge is bettere for more power, so what if you ran the TB coolant line to its own little cooler? Kind of like intercooler. I know that this would be a waste of time but in theory would this work like I am thinking?

It's actually there to work the thermowax, which is used to keep the throttle partially open during cold starts. It's not there for anything else, and is commonly bypassed when people remove the thermowax assembly. And what you're doing wouldn't work because it doesn't affect the TB that way.
The line running through the BAC Valve was put their to warm up the Valve so It would not be jammed or sticky In subzero weather.
The only other reason, imo, that particular hose runs In the direction of the BAC Valve Is It was convient for Mazda to loop It around behiind the Intake and end at the back of the Water Pump. Rather than make It's way under the Intake which would pose to many kinks. Kind of like a TII Throttle Cable. It has to make It's way 180 degrees to prevent kinkage. Same concept.
