Tapping oil return for 6 port turbo

Hi guys

I've heard of people tapping the front cover for oil return but I'm worried about metal shards getting inside my engine. I've decided to tap my oil pan instead. Is there a specific location that I need to tap on the oil pan? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've always just welded a fitting onto the oil pan.

On the front of the pan, passenger side, as high as you can on the front "butt cheek" which surrounds the engine mount.

Use a fitting of your choice. I usually use 1/2" NPT or -10 AN
