Oh with out a doubt I can do this job, I mean the car was a shell and frame when I got it so I assembled it myself. I dont have the car infront of me, so I was really only askin about a gasket but is all good guys, this thread gave some good info.

NZCONVERTABLE.......You know a lot about cars, Standalone is a much smaller cleaner harness that eliminates the stock one and allows for "CREATIVE" routing of wires to hide them in the engine bay. Plus everything is gone, I have motor, turbo, rad and coils and thats it!

You really can't get that creative with the EFI harness because the most practical route from the ECU to the components has already been taken. Maybe it's different with my RHD car, but the EFI harness is already barely visable. I've trimmed unused plugs and neatly wrapped their wires into the loom. If I installed a standalone now the only things removed would be the AFM and the variable resistor (which I've already relocated under the AFM out of sight).

Most of what you removed has nothing do do with the EFI system, which was my main point. It could've all been removed without converting to standalone.

IF Arron Cake is installing the sensor where he has a Blue Dot in his picture..........uh, that's the water return passage from the radiator. Personally I can't see putting the sensor there for obvious reasons.
