Talk about your first newbie mod
We all start somewhere, right? And most people's first mod is usually not too daring. I'm sure some people are creative and some are just cheap. I'm both.
My first mod was my horn. I went to the local auto recycler and grabbed the horn from a Lincoln. I replaced my beep-beep with a hoooonck. That's when the neighbours first realized I had a new toy in the garage.

Removed the air pump, rat's nest, and sent the injectors out for cleaning. Put on a 3" turboback at the same time. Got the injectors back from injector rehab and found I had 720cc secondaries on a stock TII, so I got an Rtek 1.7 and Walbro to make use of the extra flow.
lets see. it woulda been the metal bar that went under the tranny to stiffen the front end a bit. kinda like a lower strut bar. cant remember the exact name of it

Had mine since january, full tune up/fluid change, K&N drop in, cut out stock airbox lid, ebay short shift (caused the trans to get stuck in reverse), dropped trans tore it down and reassembled with stock shifter! Stock exhaust manifold flange stud striped... so new Corksport SS header, obx-r SS turbo catback (plans for turbo swap this winter...) and tanabe lowering springs, and 200 watt amp for factory mini subs. In that order lol.
OP mods are drilled brake rotors, mazdatrix clutch/lightweight flywheel (2007), and stainless braided brake lines. yay.

Don't remember the order, but there were a number in short order: K&N drop in (still there), diff and trans oil replaced with synth., and fresh rubber to replace the tired OEM RE71s that were on the car when I got it. Followed a few weeks later by replacing that rubber with then-hot Yoko A520s after my first track day, and deciding I needed serious rubber
