I'm in the process of taking my engine out, and will soon have it out of the car. I was wondering what would be the best things to use to clean the inside of the engine bay and the engine once its out, just spray on a ton of engine degreaser and have at it?

i would say a power washer and some strong degreaser for the engine bay....for the engine i would say an old tooth brush and some strong degreaser....
