Tails lights arent working but break lights are working fine.
The 15 amp Illumination fuse is the first thing to check. If it's good then the Red/Black wire in the headlight harness would be the next thing to check as this wire powers the tail lights when the headlight switch is turned to the first position. If this wire does not have voltage when it should then either a contact in the switch or the wire is damaged are the likely culprits. At connector X-17 is where the Cluster harness mates w/the Front harness. At this connector the Red/Black wire mates w/the Red/Black wire. In this connector the White/Green wire mates w/the White/Green wire. The White/Green wire on the Front harness has constant voltage (powered by Illumination fuse").
headlight switch and harness is burned up. yank the gauge cluster cover, and yank the switch. if you burned a pin, you will see it clear as day. YOU MUST GET A NEW HARNESS AND SWITCH or else it will happen again.
Had the same problem on my last Fc and got pulled over right away. Just kept blowing the same fuse over and over. It ended up being loose wires up by the passenger headlight I'm assuming fog lights that were ripped off and the wire kept shorting out the tail lights.
That's what happened to me.
