tail lights will not come on

tail lights will not come on
i've already searched, and can't find anything so please take pity on me. when i turn my headlights on, the tail lights do not come on. this is of course a problem in night driving. the brake lights work, and so do the reverse lights and turn signals. i checked the bulbs for the brake lights and both filaments seem fine to me.... if anyone has any idea of what is wrong, please let me know. thank you

the bulbs "seem" fine? did u try replacing em? if u didnt, juss do it cuz u never know, that could have been the problem. if they still dont turn on, something must be wrong wid the harness or some ****. i had the same problem, i put in new bulbs and they worked fine.

check out the harness and the headlight switch. One or the other (or both) might be burned out. IceMark has a tutorial about rebuilding them so the dont blow out. Search the 2nd gen archive.
