Tail lights, sidemarkers..won't work after reinstallation
Okay so I had to take off my tail lights for wet sanding and after I reinstalled them they don't work (91 Rx7). My brake lights work but the tail lights, sidemarkers do not work. I was wondering if anyone could give me some help. I glanced at it last night and connections and wiring seemed fine...obviously not. Is there not a fuse for the tail lights? The only things I have touched is the tail light assembly. I was thinking maybe I bumped something with my spare tire. I guess I am just wondering if I might have blown a relay or something. I noticed that my one light on the left side is burnt out. I don't know if it's from water that might have got in (from washing) or if its a short. Any help would be great.

I think it's the ILLUMINATION fuse in the interior. Replace same.
It's not the Illumination fuse, if the lights in the instrument cluster come on. Not the gauges themselves, but the Lighting for the instrument cluster.
If the glove box light comes on then its also not the Illumination fuse. IF the glove box light and side lights, storage lights, license plate lights come on, then it's not the fuse either.

OKay so I fixed them, I traced it to the dash and found out the connector into the switch was burnt (just the prongs for the tail lights) I think the wire shorted out and looks like the guy before me had a similiar problem but did a half-*** fix. So because the switch doesn't work and I had an extra one under the steering wheel for some reason I just fed the wires down and wired them to that switch. So now I can cut my tail lights when ever I want (actually don;t know why I would want to but it's sorta cool)
