tail light spray? vht nite shades?
i want to do something with my tail lights, i have the 86-88 style and dont want to shell out 200$ for 89-92s. i was thinking of maybe making what looked like tail light covers by spraying the area i didnt want to see white (my car is white). does anyone know of any aerosol paint that can be taken off? because i dont want to use spray paint and have it there forever. i was also considereing using VHTs niteshades. anyone have any experience with this stuff? thanks

Night Shades does NOT remove even with paint thinner. I had to remove it once and I used a grinding disk attached to a drill to do it. NOT a method I'd suggest. Thankfully it was just my front parking lights and they turned out fine after I removed it.

I have used both. Niteshades are pretty cool. I sprayed it on and then thought that it was too dark. You can remove it. Just get some 1500 grit wet-sandpaper and take off as much as you like. Then when you are done get some 3m polisher 1500 grit removal and then some wax and they can look however dark you want them to look. If you have any questions about the process just pm me. I have done it alot.
