Tach Problems
Ok, i've looked at the Second Gen faq, i've searched the forums, i've tried finding tach wiring diagrams but all i can seem to find are engine wiring diagrams. Both my tach and horn don't work, and i think because of the tach not working it makes my Vehical Speed Sensor have problems, so when my car is rolling at all it's doing the highly annoying 2 beep routine. Can someone tell me in detail how to fix my tach? It's an 86 GXL with a brand new engine me and my friend put in it. I think some how I didn't hook something up right when i was hooking the electrical stuff back up but i don't know what. Thanks in advance.

also, does anyone know how to raise the back of the hood? i've seen several cars from japan with the back of the hood raised a little less than an inch. I was told it helps with wind noise against the wipers and makes the car a little more aero dynamic. Can anyone give me any info?

Tach problems are usually due to something wrong with the trailing coil pack and/or the wiring leading to it.
2-beeps is power steering error code. Sounds like a wire is not connected or broken.
Do you trust this guy who did the engine work?
We usually shim the rear of the hood with washers under the fenders. This really has nothing to do with aero, but it does allow the engine bay to cool better.

so 2 beeps is power steering. the FAQ said that 2 beeps was the motion sensor. My power steering doesn't work also so that makes perfect sense. Any suggestions on what might be wrong with my steering?
