did you do any work on the car then it stopped working or did it all of a sudden just decided to go a-wall?

hehe, some work was done... changed out my leading coil. and restabbed and set my timing, which i don't think is right, but a friend of mine did it. hes not a jackass or anything hes actually really good with stuff, and has a 1rst gen and just rebuilt his motor and all that good stuff so he has a lot of knowledge about rotarys and what not.

Well the tach signal comes off the trailing coil, did he work on it?

check the yel/blu at the trailing coil if you have signal there and the tach in the dash is still not working then I would check the cluster itself.

If you have had a lot of dampness in the dash sometimes the thru screws build up a little corrosion. Taking them out and using a touch of conductive grease at each end usually solves that.

some times when the car floods i do the egi fuse trick, and when i plug it back in it doesnt work the first time, so pull that fuse and put it back in, and start the car twice, that might be it
