tach doesn't work after flooding

Whenever my car floods, i pull out the EGI injectors fuse and turn the key twice. After doing that, it starts up but the tach doesn't work. But on a normal startup, it works fine. Any ideas why?

I just experienced this same thing today. I found this post through a search and I have not seen an answer to the Tachometer question.

Does anyone know why the tach will not work after you unflood the engine by pulling the EGI fuse?

I also learned that after you get the car started - tach not working - if you turn the ignition to the off position and then back to the on position very quickly, the Tach will resume working.

Any Ideas on this?

I also experienced this when my 10th AE was flooding from leaking injectors. There must be an answer somewhere.

Stop pulling just the top fuse.
Pull both the top two fuses, and this will never happen again.
It's some glitch with the stock ECU.
