tach. didn't work after egi fuse was pulled...

the other night I had pulled my egi fuse 'cause someone has tried to steal my car and I don't have the money to get a alarm and my driver side door doesn't lock. Anyway when I came back to my car I brainfarted about the fuse and tried to start the car and after a few cranks remember to put it back in, so i put it back in and the car started fine but my tach. only blipped real quick and didn't work the rest of the night but the next morning it worked fine. this isn't really a problem I just want to know why this did this.

The ECU doesn't like it when you do that - there's a 50/50 chance the tach will due.&nbsp Instead, pull the top TWO fuses under the hood, and this will never happen again.

Isnt the tach also wired to the trailing coils?
I guess if your car is running fine than that is not a possibility?

You'll barely notice if the trailing coils aren't firing.
