t2's exhaust smoking at idle

I'm afraid that my turbine side of my turbo is going out or my oil control rings are worn. At idle after driving or high revs with no load on the engine my exhaust will start to smoke/ burnt oil. Anybody ever have this happen to them?

does it have anything to do with how much you are boosting? i had a blown turbine on my 87 TII and it would only smoke if: i had the engine warmed up, i went out and boosted, then came back down to an idle.

it was like it wouldnt only load the exhaust up with oil if i boosted.
