T2 swap and cruise control

Is the cruise control cable different between the turbo and the NA? S5 GXL and just put in a JDM turbo. The cruise control cable is too short to reach the adapter.

Until someone answers..............I bet the Turbo one is longer 'cause it routes a bit different. Like a longer route. Have you looked to see if you can swap the cables b/t the two types? Should be able to do so,.

i'm pretty sure you are going to need the T2 cruise control actuator, which is electric instead of vacuum-based. if you remove the cruise control cable from the car you can see that its length is adjustable to an extent.

Something to think about............the electric actuator is not compatible with the Control Unit that operates the vacuum operated control unit. Control Unit being the electronic unit near your left foot.

I would have thoght that by the time the series five came out, all the cruise would be electric operated. Not so evidently.

I've run a vacuum operated cruise on a Turbo engine before. Changed it to the electric because the electric seems to react quicker. Had to get a turbo control unit for the electric actuator to function.
