T2 guys with no emissions/block off plates

Just wondering if you guys still are running an O2 sensor, or if it should even still be there

The guy that did my swap removed emissions and did all the block offs, but I was unsure wether or not the 02 should still be hooked up (there no clip coming off of the harness to hook it too but the O2 sensor is still in the bung on the downpipe).

well, the ECU will still use it for closed-loop fuel correction at times, so theres no reason it shouldnt be there. Plus, if you pull it out, then you have an exhaust leak.

Run an O2. It's still useful for highway mpg.

I ran the stock O2 sensor without any other emissions equipment until I got a Wideband. I still leave the stock O2 sensor plugged in to the ECU, but its just sitting inside my engine bay reading engine air. I think I was told to do this so that the engine wouldn't go into limp mode.. Runs great with an SAFC.

^^ he is right and that is why you should keep the o2 plugged in and running, and yes there should still be a plug/socket in the engine bay for it.

not the best idea for the reason mentioned above. besides, your wideband (unless designed to replace the narrowband also) will have nothing to do with any fuel correction or put it in limp mode. you'd be better off putting it back in the DP.
