T2 diffrences question

I've performed many searches and learned alot about the series 4 and 5s.
I'm getting a s4 T2 soon, hopefullly tommorow!
Just wondering how to tell if it's a turbo II?

it's a 86 model australian delivered, so probably eqivalent to a 87 US model. It has the little stickers on the side fender, but it also has the black foamy lip spoiler. It has big standard alloy wheels, but i'm not too sure of the size. The owner said it was a turbo II, but i think he was just trying to sell me a lemon.

I couldn't remember if it had aero mirrors or not.

If someone can list the visible and not so visible differences between the s4 t2 and turbo s4.

I'll have some more info on my car as soon as it pulls into my driveway!!

I don't think he bought it yet. Just look under the hood on the passanger side for the turbo. If it's stock, it'll have an intercooler (radiator looking thing) on top of the engine, and a scoop on the hood.

I gather that t2 are ALL turbo s4s?
I didn't realize that, i always thought that turbo IIs had alittle more power compared to the standard turbo model.

yeah i already paid for it
yes it has a turbo (hi-flowed)
yes it has a cooler (standard)
yes it has a bonnet vent
it might be a transplant, because it's not running and will be running aftermarket management

i don't mind it to be a transplant, but would like to know for certain.

well, get the VIN # and we can know for certain Also, TurboII just means the second turbo model released, both series 4 and series 5 have turboII's, and their power differs between the years, series 4 being slightly less, but due to the weight of the cars, they're pretty equal stock.

T2 models were the turbo models in North America. Regardless, all S4 T2 models had the same HP (180) and all S5 T2 models had the same HP (200) except the infini IV.

The Australian and Japanese RX-7's are different than the US models. The Turbo II was the only turbocharged model of the 2Gen cars exported to the US, and the others were all non-turbo. You will need to get with your fellow Aussies to find out which model you have, as the VIN will not correspond to US models.

There's only one turboed 2nd gen, the TII. The reason they call it a TurboII is because its the 2nd turbo charged RX7. We never got the first one in america, our first was the TII.
