T2 with an Auto Transmission

So how difficult is it to make a t2 into an automatic? S5 in particular. Reason being I had a left knee injury at work and just can't drive manual daily.

Planning on staying under 300 hp. Im thinking about rx7 auto trans. Want to keep it as simple as possible. Anybody done it before? Any links? And yes I searched .

You'd have to get an auto flyhweel, auto rear counterweight, and a n/a starter, should be able to keep your Tii driveshaft (i believe, splines are probably different).....should cover it, but sure i missed something

Usually a standard transmission has shift points which does not require the clutch.

You are never supposed to shift a synchronized transmission without the clutch. Don't get me wrong, it can be done but most people eff it up and the synchros take up the slack. Then all of the sudden people wonder what all the brass shavings are in the trans fluid and why on earth the trans clatters and moans.
