Synchro going bad?

Ok guys my second gear grinds very badly unless I shift very nice....to do this I push in the clutch...wait a sec and it will go into second without grinding.

Anyway I have a brand new TOB and clutch disk, the clutch itself looks good.

So any ideas? I was told its more and likely Synchro going bad. If this is the case how much would it cost to get it replaced or rebuilt?

I have a 1990 TurboII BTW.

A rebuild is a couple hundred bux if you pull the tranny yourself. Pulling the transmission isn't very difficult (I did mine on Saturday) and if you can find a good rebuilder, you'll be all set for pretty cheap. LIke biorotary said, try some Redline fluid before you even consider a rebuild...it will probably buy you some time.
