The symptoms....The cure??????I am desperate!!!Rotary Brothers HELP!!!!!!!
Greetings from Greece.
I have a Turbo II Convertible '91 with no mods.
Recently i crashed it and after the repair the car has the following symptoms...:
- The car is jerking violently when i am accelerating with low or no boost.
- Cannot idle properly when hot and with lights off (but when i turn on the lights the idle is ok).
- I have a bouncing idle between 1500 and 2000 rpm when the engine is cold (the idle goes steady when engine warm).
- Sometimes my oil pressure gauge goes nuts!!!It shows extremely high pressure but the car is idle.
- The car is jerking violently when i am accelerating with low or no boost.
I ve searched the forum and found out that the problem is probably caused due to:
sensors problems,tps,afm,02
sersors groundings
spark plugs
vaccum leaks,vac
dashpot
Throttle body
BAC,ECU
Can anyone combine the symptoms and suggest a sollution???PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Hehehe, tetoia wra poios amerikanos na einai panw sto forum re file ?
Anyway, the problem with the oil gauge is probably the sender or the gauge itself. I dont think the oil pump just decides to speed up all by itself
Your BAC needs cleaning or slight adjusting.
As for the idle, check for vacuum leaks (only you can find them on your car), and check the continuity of the TPS...
