Sweet looking rims cheap

These would look sweet on a second gen. Just change the center cap and you are golden for under 400 bucks

This????

yuck

I had to go back and edit this... because a single yuck did not convey the absolute disgustage I would have upon seeing those wheels on any RX-7.

I'm 100% in agreement with Icemark on that one. I wish I could get a set of Spirit R rims, best damn rims ever!

You'd have to ditch the cap and repaint them/powder coat them all one color hehe

Those wheels are ugly!!!

Mustang wheels on a rx-7? Anyone considering that isn't worthy of owning a 7!!! If you can't afford good wheels keep it stock til you can!!! It is called a savings account you cheap ricers!!! Patience and a little $$$ can get you a good set of wheels on ebay or otherwise.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with them without using "they're mustang wheels" as an excuse?

I agree with mack. Try looking at this version of the rim and forget their mustang wheels.

There was no reason to rag on the poor guy, be nice people :P

They dont look bad, but I woulndt put them on my 7.

Had the original poster removed the mustang emblem from the original pic, this would have been a far different thread.

I don't get what's up with hating those wheels. They are a simple, black 5 spoke design.

I like them.

the center section draws too much attention.

the fact that they are 18's really kills this thread however...

they're too big, too fugly and the offset is too small.

now stab those wheels cause they're done!

yeah sorry about all the I hate mustang's stuff. All I was pointing out is this guy can completely powder coat these rims in all black if requested and he also can get different width's like 18x9 and 18x10. Try getting that for $350 bucks from other wheel dealers.

you can get 17" adr rims for around $250/set so why bother with mustang rims?

you can get 17x9 and 17x10 for 250 a set.....post a link

I need to move to a wider rear rim and tire due to upcoming traction issues with new turbo setup. And I have been noticing that wide costs.

I like them.
Spokes are too thin to match the FC lines, the funky black and silver dual coloring, and that they are 30# 18" wheels all contribute to the uglyness. And I didn't even mention the center cap

If you want cheap wheels that fit an FC properly and look damn nice after a bit of painting, get some convertible wheels. They also have the added benefit of being pretty damn light and you will not require spacers to get them to fit correctly.

I got mine for $100 w/o centercaps and the tires were rotted, but I painted the center a nice glossy black and put some ok tires on and it turned out nice and clean:

Now I just need to scrounge the junkers for some centercaps that fit (I'm thinking of trying some older BMW and Audi centercaps.)

18's just look crappy on 99% of FCs.
