sweet clear turn signal lenses

i found these clear lenses on ebay just searching for things for my 7. and came across these sweet clear lenses for your front turn signals. they look very clean. so i contacted the guy and i met up with him to see them on his T2 and they looked very clean. so i bought some. he installed them for me and was actually a very nice guy with a sweet t2.

anyways here are some pictures on his car. ill post mine at like 12am tonight.

the price starts at $10 but its not a set price. he is making more as we speak and he has a prototype of the front sidemarkers too. he is sending me some here is a picture of his.

Hmmm. Looks like the 'clear light fixture cover material' trick I saw someone post about a ways back. I've been considering trying it out myself since I think the clear lenses look a lot better on the silver 7's (like his T2 in the pic and my 'vert), but I haven't gotten the time to look at the laws around here to see if it's a legal mod.

You can get a whole sheet of the stuff for about 10 bucks at Home Depot and you just need a way to cut it like a dremel.

I went through 2 sets and they start to look like crap after about 2-4 months and they crack really easy. I went back to newer looking stock pieces and I think they look better.

That stuff is crap. It gets weak, it isn't water tight... go with lexan... Cost me like $2.50.

Yeah i tried the flourecent light cover idea a few months back and it looked ghetto. The only way to get real clear signals is to custom fit some late 80's Honda lenses. I almost tried it but then I decided to pollish the amber signals instead. You could always throw a thin coat of black spray paint and clear coat over them...

Although... I did find a way to eliminate the front side markers... If you have some extra s4/s5 trim pieces laying around you can pry off the side marker trim piece and custom cut the extra trim to fit in that spot. Looks clean. Looks European Except no fender marker... who needs it anyway?

I used the fender pieces behind the front wheels. The are about 1 inch too short to fit perfect so I think I'm going to take the long door pieces and cut them to exact size.

I was thinking that now since I have an extra light socket maybe I'll try out a dual turn signal setup like that on a zenki or chuki 180sx

You need the side-markers. If you don't use them you are an idiot. If you do use them and someone bashes into the side of you because they don't see your blinker on the side blinking showing that you are attempting to move...don't bitch. When a cop pulls you over for not signaling or for the fact that your signal is missing...don't bitch. When you fail inspection...don't bitch.

There aren't many things I can't stand more, when driving, then lazy asses who don't use signals. I think this annoys me more than that so, congratulations to you.

Looks good, but you need something reflective on the side of your car for safety's sake. I like the idea of making side flashers/side running lights if they reflect well/give off enough light.

dude, the cops only bitch if you dont have side markers were there should be some, and you can see some light off the side of the head lights and the corner of the rear tail lights from the side if you have wide rear fenders too.

OK? Are you off your period now?

First of all, the SIDE MARKERS are what I'm talking about, not the turn signals. Side markers don't blink as you said they do. Inspection??? wtf? We don't have inspection here. Unlike California, the laws dont require you to have a perfectly stock car. If they can't see my headlights, turn signals, rear side markers, tail lights, or license plate lights they are the idiots, not me... They need to get off their damn cell phones and quit reaching to the passenger floor board for their gay emo CD and PAY ATTENTION! Every light on a car shines everywhere in the environment. On the ground, other cars, buildings, trees...

Where the hell did I say I don't signal???

Last but not least, before you call me an idiot again I suggest you go back to 5th grade and learn what a "run on sentence" is. I have no idea what the 3rd "sentence you typed is supposed to mean...

congratulations to you.
Why, thank you sir

Well I actually changed things around with the side markers. I really did want to have side markers but clear ones arent made for FCs. The plastic trim flew off on one side going down 65 a little while back... I just filled in the mounting holes, painted it all up, and slapped the lenses back on. I'm going to try to find some cheap *** clear APC lenses that look decent and match pretty close in size and try those out.
