Is this a bareblock swap or are both motors longblocks?

If you are replacing the engine only, I would get a new rear engine seal. They get banged up pretty easy, and it sucks to have replace one after you were already in there.

Things that make it easier:
Engine hoist
Having all the parts you need.
Having all the new fluids.

If the motors both have wiring harnesses, then its a fairly straightforward swap.

if you have to ask "what should I look forward to?" don't expect it to take one day only. Expect to replace more than just the engine. Pilot bearing/seal, rear seal (if neccesary), engine mounts if they are dead (good idea, not neccesary unless they are severed), belts, all fluids, any vacuum hose you can reach.... your pulsation dampner would be a great idea.

Then.. after you get it all done, expect another day or two to get it running right.
