Swapped NA s4 engine back in. No spark
So I purchased an NA s4 engine to stuff into my RX-7 after I blew the TII motor. Viewed the engine starting up and running before he pulled it the next day.
Right now the engine is all hooked up (save for charcoal canister and air pump), but I'm getting no spark. Checked if there was spark from wire to plug, nothing. Checked if there was spark from the plug itself to ground, nothing. Battery was charged and also connected to my buddies car for good measure to ensure good cranking speed.
I do need to bust out the multimeter and check if there is voltage at the coils, but I never touched any wire that directly lead to the coils when swapping engines and harnesses. Coils worked before, fuses seem fine. CAS is connected. I'd imagine its timing wouldn't of changes on the CAS since I've seen it running. Going to check that next, but stripped a screw trying to remove the cover.
For sure getting fuel as the lines get pressurized. Just to make sure, the return line for the fuel is on the left (this is facing the engine from the driver's side).
So basically its cranking, it has compression, just no spark. Any ideas of what I should look for. I'm hoping its something simple I glossed over that's preventing the engine from starting.
