Question Suspension Tech or RB Springs?

Hi!,

I will be buying a full set of struts for my 91 FC NA (KYB G2) by the end of this week. The car its daily driven, and hopefully will see some Solo II sometime in the future. At the moment I am (and will be for some time) on a very-very low budget, so coil overs, KYB AGX, konis, are out of the question. I need opinions, and experiences concerning the ST, RB, and what the hell.......Eibachs springs too.

BTW - Poly bushing will be installed too, with the new struts!

Thanks,

Elio

RB and ST springs are linear rate. The Eibach Pro-Kits are progressive.

This is from a chart in a Mazdatrix catalog that I'm looking at now. Their method of spring compression involved using "their own spring tester" and "the rates are for comparison purposes only":

RB front 130
RB rear 80

ST front 120
ST rear 120

Stock front 95
Stock rear 90

My friend has ST springs on his 91, I have Eibachs. My car definitely rides smoother. Cornering wise, close enough, but his gives better feel. 10 dollars difference in price

nah, the Eibach like tightens up in mid corner from a soft feel. The ST is tight all around, from turn it to exit.
