Suspension questions (Tein++)

Just got some quick questions about a suspension setup im about to order.
How mutch doest the Tein RA lower my car?
Will the energy suspension bushing kit + bigger anti-sway bars make my car suitable for road and track use?

Thanks,
Sindre

Personally I would think the RA is a little aggressive for street use, especially in a car with extremely-stiff stock setup like an FC.

That being said:

Front adjustment range is from -1.5" to -1.8", rear is -0.4" to -1.3".... however, they also list ride height at being -1.1"F, and -0.7"R which makes no sense according to their adjustability range for the front.

"Bigger" anti-sway bar kits will make your car closer to track use, but be careful what you use. I would suggest using front and rear bars from the same manufacturer, as a lot of the time, they are designed to work best in conjuction with each other.

Replacing the bushings is a good idea too, yes.

Also, look into replacing Lower Arm Bar (Cusco makes one for about $100, and Mazdaspeed's is only $150). Strut bars (Front and Rear if you are wanting to track it... rear requires some cutting, FYI) - cheap and will make a slight difference).

If you are going to drive this car daily, I would be rethinking the RA decision, personally as they are pretty raw and set up mainly for track use.

Hope this helps.

ahh thanks, helped alot. What type of coilovers (shocks/struts) are suitable for both track and road use?

What type of anti-sway bar is good? (tested?)

What is a Lower arm bar? (did some googleing :P)
Ill change my strutbars as soon as i remove my TMIC.

For coilovers I have heard good things about Ground Control/your choice of strut.

Good anti way is Suspension Techniques and Racing Beat.

Lower arm tie bar goes under the struts and stuff, just like a upper strut bar, but only on the bottom (I'm nearly sure).

99% of strut bars clear th TMIC, unless you have a Racingbeat Triangulated strut bar.

My suspension setup works great for road and track use. Kinda harsh on poorly maintained streets though, right Jager?

I was going to get the RA's as well but then i started thinking that they might be a little to stiff for the street. so instead i went with the superdrift they seem to work great and can be easily set up for road course instead of drift (a car will only drift if you make it) I had my car at the track this week and I was able to keep up and actually be faster than 2 new porsche 911's (damn straights is where they were faster) but this suspension is almost on its softest setting for track grip style. I do find that it is ok on the street as well as long as you make sure to avoid construction areas, and potholes. (even though you should be avoiding these areas anyways). anyways thats my 2 cents about it.
