Suspension Q's anyone ?
ok my friend currently owns a 88 gul and i have a 90 n/a my suspension is shot and hes selling his car soon and said he would swap suspension with me i was wonderin . since i have never done this before how hard it would be and would everything fit how it should.. both cars have stock suspension any help would be apreciated thanks.

thanks.. hopefully it aint tomuch of a pain in the *** mine has the stupid eletronic suspension adusments they still work... but it dosent help me much lol theres jus soft and softer .. well i guess ill give it a try and hopefully it all works out .. would i need any sping compressors at all or ny special tools ...juss wondering so i know to try and get some before i start on it

Umm....
I'm not 100% sure if the 86-88 chassis will bolt up to an 89-91 suspension (or vice versa) since there are differences after partial redesign in 1989.
Also - pre-soak all the suspension in pblaster or similar penetrating oil a few days early. Besides a basic tool set you'll need two 14mm wrenches and possibly a 1/2" drive breaker bar for the 17-23mm size nuts.
You'll want to use an impact gun to remove the rear axel nuts in the center of the wheels. That's a 32mm socket I believe. Note you'll bend the cheaper 1/2" drive 32mm sockets, so buy a "impact gun" strenght socket.
This is of course assuming you completely disassemble the suspension. It's possible to drop it all together at once, but what a PITA and you'd need 12 jack stands & a 2x6 plank to hold up the rear diff.
