Suspension Clunking

Going over speed bumps and when I turn the wheels at low speeds/high angle there is a popping sound and clunk in the front. The suspension is tired I know. I think its the inner tie rods. The car has a manual rack. The lower arms have new poly bushings.

Very likely it could be worn mounts for the top of the strut assy. (Photo attached.) This was my problem years back. I noticed it when I did a little juke to to the left or right when driving (slowly) on the freeway. (Check it out when no one else is around!)

If it were just the tie rods, I would believe that it could be detected by just turning the steering wheel w/o the car moving.

Are you going over the speed bump straight on / evenly or at an angle? That is, almost one wheel at a time? This might isolate which side to investigate further.

Later,
John
