Only the GXL model had the Auto Adjusting Suspension (AAS). You should read the sticky at the top of this section about "What did the RX-7 come with" to find out more about the features of your car.
Unfortunately, former moderator Icemark died in the spring and some of the links in that section are now not working. There used to be images of the original Mazda brochures for each year there. I'm guessing the images were hosted on his website which also is currently down. Luckily for you, the 1987 link still works.

If your car still has the original decals on the front fenders, that's the easiest way to figure out what model you have. If not, look at the list of features in the brochure and compare it to your car. Of course, in the 22 years since it was new, it is always possible that the various owners have modified it, so you may have a sort of hybrid by now. Enjoy the car!
