suspension

I have a broken rear shock. Ordered a new one at a local place that said he could get the AAS shock. So now he has received 2 shocks and each time they sent the front shocks for my car (87 GXL Auto). He is trying once more time, and if tommorow they send the wrong shock he is going to refund my money. My question is: Should I bother searching for the AAS shock or just buy a whole set of shocks w/ the works?

I wonder because I am not sure if I will notice a difference btw sport and normal. Also, if I am going to change the rear shocks out I figure I might as well do a whole new assembly for everything.

I've driven one FC that had the AAS, in mint condition. The system is great for highway, but really sort of pointless any other time. It's just too slow to react. If you're keeping the car as pure as possible, like a collector's item, then yeah keep the AAS. If you're only looking for a performer, then dump that system & go with some aftermarket shock. The KYB AGX's aren't expensive and are also adjustable.

i apologize for whats probly a dumb question but what places would sell good shocks (possibly the KYB?) and/or have a good user friendly-ness about it so i can buy the right parts?

I am not really looking for performance atm it's more of a daily driver until next year when my Monte is finished and my girl buy herself a car, then I am thinking of maybe doing some work too it but still in the end I am more of a cosmetics show car person lol ty in advance

I got my KYB AGX's off of ebay (new) for $317.95 + $24.50 shipping

the ebay store was called "Performance Parts Store"

I bought them a while back (about a year ago) so i dont know if they are still selling them on ebay or not but check it out.
