rtech 2 is the same as Rtech 2.0 on the Rtech website.. you dont need that much of flexability with the setup your looking at...motor streetported with mods shown should get you close to 300+hp at flywheel.

Rtech 1.7
def port the turbo wastegate(60mm would be great)(BNR)
boost gauge
720 or 850 low imp injectors
rewire fuel pump

do it right and your engine should be safe

As of right now, I'm not planning on anything serious. If I'm going to do that, I'll probably get another one dedicated. This is my DD, so reliability is also a factor. *yes, I know what you're all going to say, "A TII as a DD? Are you mad?" but it's holding up great so far, and my NA has died under circumstances I wouldn't be able to forsee. *IE some ******* ruined it, then decided he won't pay me the money to buy it, and instead drop it in front of my house...*

And Todd, that's a nice checklist for me to go for, thanks! The biggest issue here for me thus far is rewiring the Fuel Pump. That would mean I would have to take up the carpet/seats/dash/etc I'm assuming. I had problems getting the dash part around my steering wheel off.

Actually, if reliability is a factor, you'll ditch all the stock EFI **** and buy the Haltech. For a stock TII, stock everything is fine IMHO, but if you want to start modifying the car in really any major way (to me even a streetport warrants a Haltech to get the most power/reliability).

Alot of people DD TII's. Just take of certain things (if you keep the stock EFI) like porting the wastegate, make sure not to overboost the motor, take car of reliability mods, and to take care of standard maintence.

Keep it right and tight, and it'll treat you nice.

Now, I planned on letting Kyle do the whole thing for me, the rebuild/streetport/installation of engine and everything. I was hoping he'd be able to clean/flow test my injectors as well. I don't have a garage or any tools to actually work on my car, so that's why I've got that idea. If you have any other insight, please let me know.
It is Rtek 2.0. It will allow you to make changes to your maps to best suit your mods. I agree on a full standalone (I'm running a Wolf3d V4) if the budget allows for it, but it sounded like you wanted the install to be easy. You would still have to ship of a stock ecu to get your Rtek made.

There are local machine shops that will clean and flow injectors. I think they are around $25 each. I believe the Rotary Doctor sends them off to RC Engineering. Either way is fine. You might make sure Kyle will warranty the motor with the streetport and Rtek as this is your daily. I know he does on stock ports.

Yeah, never got a chance to call him to get a price check on what I'm wanting done. As of now, I'm sitting at 2k dollars. So I'm sure I got another couple months of saving up to get to where I need to be. That's why I liked the idea of Rtek. It wasn't too expensive, and it's easy to do for me. Is RC Engineering here in Joplin, or somewhere in KC/Springfield?

BTW Todd, your link doesn't work, for some reason....

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8'
