Supercharger questions

So i just picked up a non-turbo fc a few days ago, and i have been trying to find some info on how much power the stock trans and rear end can hold. But also if anyone has used the 12" camden supercharger, i have heard the 7" unit is pretty disappointing in terms of power potential. So i was just trying to see if anyone has used the 12" one, if they are getting much more power, and what else is involved in getting that one put on.
also, if it would be more cost efficient to turbo it, if i'm aiming for only around 300 or 350 wheel on a bridge port.
Thanks in advance!

Its a straight lobe blower, inefficient as it gets. If you want to supercharge find a better unit.

do a lil more searching on the forum man,

most people on here will tell you not to super charge it, (i would assume) if you want to turbo it.
there is 1 or 2 reputable kits but the for the price of the kit you might was well get a TII motor and rebuild it.

Oh okay. do you have any suggestions?
And also, do you know how much boost i could run before something blowing, or even the weak point on rotary engines.
thanks again

rotary bunta, Thanks, i was looking around and couldn't find anything about the 12" superchargers. But i think i might just get the TII motor, especially if i would have to get a standalone to boost my current motor anyways.

i personally haven't done my tII swap yet but i have been doing some reading in the mean time. i still got a strong NA with with under 50K on the motor so im working on exterior and interior at the moment.

if you are looking for 300- 350 range in power. i wouldn't think it would be a stock swap, you might need some porting and some a lil extra boost. and stand alone ECU. again im no pro. but if you search well you can find some good info.

i found this link on RotaryRocket88 sig.
https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-gen-archive-72/s4-na-turbo-swap-details-813825/

its a write up of NA to TII swap. i would book mark it.

good luck.

Stay away from a bridgeport at those power levels, especially on the 6 port irons. The drawbacks won't outweigh the benefits at such a low power level.

At those power levels on a 6 port engine with an appropriately sized turbo, stock ports are fine.
