Supercharge a streetport?

I was just sitting here thinking at work & was wondering if anyone has done this. I mean with a header and intake it should get you some real good numbers. If my NA engine quits I will get a streetport & definitely a supercharger eventually. Then add a shot of NOS and I would think 11s would be possible. What do you guys think?

I'm on the same page as you. My friend is making plans for a 13b, in his 1st gen. I thought hey "supercharge it". With the instant response you could really get an aggresive port and wouldn't suffer from the low end torque associated with such overlap.
With the higher and lighter compression rotors it should really move. Atkins rotary sells a kit for a 13b or 12a that uses a camden supercharger.. If you want to take it up a notch then use a water injection to cool things off, or some NOS. EVEN further would be the super light weight rotors that racing beat sells......someday i suppose

Im thinking of supercharging as well, I see you're from Tampa so I guess you've been to Maztech. They rebuilt my engine and streetported it. Right now I'm running high 14's, pretty good for an N/A. If you talk to Jeff at Maztech he might refer you to Scott at Mazsport in Largo....he's the man to talk to if you want performance. I asked about a super charger and he said he's done it before and if done right, you'd probably make it into the 12's. As for nitrous on top of that...........whoa, maybe too much for an N/A engine - but I dont really know.

by the way , are there any RX7 meets around here?

Actually I have not been to Maztech, never had a reason to. I have heard good things about them & am thinking of bringing my car there now because I can't figure out my problems. About the meets I have no clue, never asked or tried to get any going. Want to get my car going good first but been having problems with that.
