sunroof won't close

sunroof won't close

87 rx-7 TII....my sunroof will not close all the way......it goes back slowly(sometimes needs a little help) but, when i try to close it, it goes all they close up to the point to where the roof would become flat on top........is it the tracks or the motor

Sometimes you have to "help it along", or push the switch one more time. Might need to lube up the tracks a little with a light grease...

or on the roof part (inside) youll see a little cap take off the car and youll see an allen key if im correct find the size allen key and turn it by hand open it all the way clean out the track and close it and see how it goes from there or your motor might just be dieing out.

Don't use WD40 to grease that. It will only last for a couple weeks or so. Use some real grease, like the stuff in a can. Not too much though .
