Use those hands to pick up a phone and call in another pair of hands.

lol dude how has NO one posted an actual method??

I've done it by my lonesome a few times. I'm 5'8" & 170 lbs, wear a size 32 & medium shirt... so I'm no macho.

Thread the rear 4 bolts in, maybe, 3 turns in. lift assembly, but leave the roof panel off to save some weight. Make sure the seats are fully reclined (like after take off). Slip the assembly onto those 4 screws thru the slots, then raise the front end, & just thread few turns of the height adjustment nuts (the ones w/ C clips on them) to hold it, & you're good. Now just fine tune your adjustment & you're ready to roll

so in short take the glass off, bolt the skeleton assembly inside the car, and then put the glass back in an play with the height adjustment?

yep. you'll have to have the glass (if you really have glass you're REALLY lucky that's a rare part!) fully shut & just mess w/ the height adjustment, while all the other screws are loose, until each corner is flush & at the same height as the car's roof. Have fun!

you need to have the motor On the assembly so you can put an allen Key in it to turn the gear.
You keep talking about Glass..you got a glass roof or a steel panel?

The motor has the hole for the allen key.
If it does not move the panel then you'll have to see if you can coax the back of the panel...you know like it was gonna open.
stupid question but have you tried both ways?..left and right on the allen key?..using a hex head socket?(what ever the hell they call em..brain fart)

If that doesn't work,I'd weld it together...(chuckle..sorry)...or get a new assembly and panel.

The only way that I have seen(or can recall) to get that panel off is to open the assembly(when on the car) you can get to the 6 10 mm nuts that secure the panel to the rails.

Oh.My method of putting it up: you can make sure it is almost closed and it will guide itself in.You use one hand to hold it up and another to put 2 bolts on one side.
I like the passenger side first, you can almost sit inside the car and prop in up.
Prop the other side up with a broom handle and then run to the other side and install the other 2 bolts and then continue installing bolts.

your worm cables are probably gunked/rusted to **** inside the tubes, that's what happened to mine. extremely expensive to replace from mazda (ive looked)... start searching the FS section for new ones.

Although My "dog like friend"(chuckle!) is right about the cables,In the long run you can find a suitable used assembly that actually works.
Those cables are a pain in the ***!
