sunroof questions

Hello all. I have a 1986 GXL model I bought and it did not have a sunroof on it. I now have a tarp over it to keep the rain out. I have been looking for a replacment for it. The real question is are all sunroof/ moon roofs the same size? I found a sunroof for sale. It isn't glass but metal. It is on tracks so its considered a sunroof right? Anyways my car has the bolts for a sunroof but will it fit? Are there different sizes of sunroofs/ moonroofs for this model? Thank you for looking.

As far as I know, all 86-91 sunroofs are the same. So you can interchange freely if you need to. Almost all FC's came with metal moonroof/sunroof's, whatever. Only a very few had a dealer installed glass option. This link may help you with your install.

Going used would probably be much cheaper. And make sure to check the fuctionality of the new assembly, as in my thread I posted above, the one I bought was almost completely broken. Also, take off the seal that goes around the sunroof panel as there may be rust hiding under there. My stock piece showed 0 signs of rust, but under the seal it was starting. They rust very easily.
