sunroof question

I read the sunroof repair threads but I didn't see where it said anything about replacing the piece that connects the sunroof to the slider. My drivers side one is broke. Without me ripping it all apart does anyone think I could jb weld it? If not where can you buy these parts, or do I have to get a whole new sunroof?

I wouldn't try to JB weld such parts.

If your local Mazda dealership no longer carries these parts, then you should try a junk yard or a parts car. Search the classifieds here on the forum.

get a real part # of what you need. or a picture. the FS section on here/junkyard will be your friend. i needed the drivers side worm drive cable and the drive unit(what the cable ride in). Mazda wanted a total of $400 for both parts... i have a few left over pieces from another member on here who sold me his whole sunroof setup, minus the roof panel itself.

technically the sunroof is attached by 3 studs off the sunroof panel to the slider,10mm nuts.
You need a pic to show what you are talking about.

Ill snap a pic of it today, The piece should be changeable(I hope). The roof isnt in the best condition so for the right price I'd sure love to have a whole new one.
