sunroof-for better or worse (not a need help fixing thread, trust me)

quick question...
is it better to use your working sunroof often to keep it in good shape, or to use it seldomly because its fragile? suggestions? just replaced mine and dont wanna do it again

My A/C doesn't work so my sunroof is always open ...

keep using it. keep it from getting locked up. if it moves around all the time and stays lubricated it should be fine. when it sits for a long time the cables get locked in the tracks and it wont open....
