Suggestions need for locating exhaust leak

Hello,

I would like to get the exhaust leak figured out. I think the high pitch sound is from some where close to the turbo. Anything I can try to have good understanding about where it is?

Thanks

-X

my muffler installation guy uses a 2 foot hose sort of like the tranny cooler size .places one side on his ear the other in the vicinity of the leak with the car on and on the lift.

mornings are getting colder, start it up on a cold morning and see if you see any vapours coming from any of the flanges

With the car at idle have someone place rags over the end of the tailpipe(s) momentarily. The noise will increase and you'll be able to pinpoint the leak.

This is what I just did.
Block off the exhaust flange after the down pipe with a thin piece of wood, plastic, masonite. I used a piece of plastic. Cardboard might work too.
Remove the O2 sensor.
Make a cork fitting to insert in the O2 bung hole. I used a plastic cork from a champange bottle. Drilled a hole in the top and inserted a small hose.
Attach the other end of the hose to an air compressor. Again I used a secondary regulator adjusted down to 3 PSI or so.
Turn air on a spray for bubbles using soapy water.
Small bubbles are usually tolerable. Your looking for big bubbles.
Spray around the exhaust manifold, turbo to manifold gasket and downpipe gasket.
I had bubbles around the exhaust manifold. Checked for warp and sanded it flat.
Re-used the expensive gasket and the leak is gone.
