Suggestions on my swap

I am wanting to swap a TII into my RX-7 this summer though I am unsure which route to take.
After some consideration, I've decided that I have 2 basic options as far as the engine is concerned.

1) I can buy a 13BT that has been rebuilt and street ported from RotorSports for $2749
2) I can buy a 13BT which has been tested but not rebuilt or street ported from Japan2La for a lot less

I realize that this is comparing apples to oranges but will the extra almost 2 grand be worth it for a daily driver/weekend warrior?
I'm 17 and will be paying this out of my own pocket; it is my first and only car.
It will be my daily driver until this time next year when I move to Minneapolis for college (University of Minnesota).
I plan to get a WRX at that time while keeping the RX-7.
Additionally, I plan to purchase the following regardless of the engine selection.
HKS Hi-Power Full 3" Exhaust - $535.00
HKS Super Sequential Blow Off Valve, Universal - $209
CorkSport 'Power Series' Front Mount Intercooler Kit - $799
In the future I have plans for fuel management and other things like suspension and wheels/tires but the budget does not allow that at the moment.
Anyway, I was wondering if anybody had any things that are needed before the swap that you won't realize until it's in progress.
I've read all the stickies and archives. Invariably, however, there is something that I'll miss.

If you're talking about RotorSports Racing in NC they built my engine about 7 years ago. It sti'll kicking *** as well as the day I picked it up. Worth every penny.

You had better include at least an SAFC, boost and AFM gauge at a min. You might want to think about the drivetrain.

Talk to the guys there, they know what they're doing.

hey david, it's jason

i'd say it's worth the money if you can swing it...that way you have a motor you can trust and has a lil extra snap to it with the SP.

if you get the motor from J2La it may only last you 10K miles or maybe 40K you can't honestly know. but the rebuilt one from RotorSports is WAY more trustworthy and being a highschool/college student...you probably can't afford to fix **** if they break like it probably will.

correct me if im wrong people

Thanks Jason and Turbo II
I want to keep this car for a very long time so I think going with the RotorSports street ported engine is going to be the way to go.
Anyway, any suggestions on the other system components? I'll get a SAFC if it's needed.
