sueaking clutch pedal??

It just started tonight. When I press in the clutch pedal it makes a weird squeaking noise, I will go look at it tommorow when I can see what I'm doing. Mabey some lube? Anyone else's clutch pedal do this?

i think that squeeking is coming from the pressure plate. dont think i need to explain how the pressure plate works.

Mine does it to. It was gradual and it is definately not the pressure plate. The clutch pedal is on a roller and I believe that is what causes the squeaking. Get some lithium grease and see if that fixes it.

graphite should help if you can get to the bushing. The correct thing to do is just replace the bushing for the pedal. It is a pretty common problem on cars.

Well, if you guys can hear it loud and clear from your pedal box assembly, then I would think it would be a pivot bushing. I've never heard of a dying clutch master cylinder squeaking before it bit the dust, but hey, there's a first for everything.

Back when i had my se it developed an intermittent squeak from the master cylinder. I rebuilt it and the metal shaft inside it with the rubber bushing on it chafed on the inside of the master cylinder causing it to sqeak. I ended up just spraying a light coat of wd40 in it and that solved the problem. Be careful though cuz if you put too much lubricant in there then the master cylinder tends to loose its seal and you will find your clutch engaging at stop lights. I learned the hard way.
