stupid pipe in turbo manifold??? smokes

what is the pipe inthe s4 turbo exhaust manifold that leads from the engine to the turbo. it kinda looks like the barrel of an elephant gun. i want to plug this stupid hole because i think when i take a sharp turn oil comes from out the hole in the side of the engine (just below the exhaust ports) its anoying and i keep loosing cool points muhahaha but i just want it to stop cuz its a dumb way to lose oil. and its stupid lookin whenever im taking an on or off ramp at 80 and it starts smoking. smoke generators are for air shows

I think your talking about the air port. The ACV takes air from the air pump and pushes it into the ports in the intermediate and side housings wich get pumped out of the hole your talking about.
How do you know that the oil is not from your turbo and not the air port? Did you take the manifold off and oil was seeping out of the air port?

Not sure why oil would come out of it... in fact I really don't know, I'll have to think about that. Im sure by then someone will have an answer for you..

You need to get us a photo or a diagram from the FSM or something, because your description doesn't sound like anything that's supposed to be there. You say its in the exhaust manifold, but then say it goes from the engine to the turbo. This doesn't make sense.

There are no holes on the engine that should ever have oil coming out, so you should not be plugging the hole, you should be looking for what's broken to make oil come out.

well a smart *** post is better than no post:-) ummm no i was refering to the manifold that gos from engine to turbo.. the manifold in which the twin scroll sits. i cant find any pics. if you have ever installed an engine to turbo manifold gasket there is a hole for this stupid pipe..... what the **** is it. the factory manual calls it the secondary air hole. sounds pretty offensive......

Now we're getting somewhere. The secondary air system (the air pump and ACV) injects air into the exhaust to help the cat work. I though it entered though passages in the exhaust ports, but I guess it enters though the manifold.

Since the manifold needs to be on the engine for you to drive it, exactly how do know oil is coming out of this hole when you corner?

Yeah...I was wondering about that...

How can you see it smoking if everything is inside the turbo exhaust manifold???

If that's all you're basing your guess on, I can assure you the problem has nothing to do with that hole.
