stuck gas door!! HELP

stuck gas door!! HELP

the lever cable for my gas door popper thing is broken so i cant pop open the gas door, and i cant get it open, and i dont wanna stick crap in there because i dont wanna scrach the paint on the outside, any solutions?
I NEED GAS!

open the hatch, pull down the spare tire cover, then peel back and unclip the carpet on that side, the is a little pin I think that you either pull or push to open the door. I can't remember all the mushy details, but you should be able to figure it out.

In the FSM there is a section about the gas door sticking (on my tII manual it's page 2-15). The caption reads "If for any reason the remote fuel filler lid release does not operate normaly, open the rear glass hatch and peel back the carpet trim on the right side of the compartment. Clear away any additional insulation. Now reach into the opening and pull the filler lid toward the rear of the vehicle." Hope that helps.

take a piece of heavy duty tape or vinyl and place it between the cap and the car and you can insert your key to open it... thats what im doin for now until i fix it
