strings in my clutch?

Ok, so I got a new Exedy clutch kit from mazdaformance and there's strings woven throughout the disk material.
Is this normal? I just wanna know before I put it in.

yes that's normal. It's the organic clutch composite stuff.

Most clutches wil have that unless you go ceramic/bronze puck style.
