Street Ported Tii Question

I recently bought a 87 TII, the engine has been street ported and has the rb full turbo exhaust. I'm pretty sure the previous owner has not done any fuel system upgrades. Is it safe to run stock fuel levels with the increase air intake and exhaust output?

it more depends on what boost levels the car is running at. Usually with stock turbo and everything, you wanna start to do fuel mods when you break 8psi, which you undoubtedly have already reached. You should probably rewire your fuel pump while you search for fuel upgrades before you up the boost any more.

The Autometer is NB, so it's garbage.. Pick up a WB gauge..

The Autometer Gauge is a narrowband Gauge (0-1V), which is pretty useless for tuning. A Wideband Gauge (0-5V) is better suited towards tuning cars.

Understood now. Yeh wanted to get a better one thats more exact but funds are tight b/c I'm starting back at school and the wife is being strict on what i can buy. after school gets paid for I'll be able to invest in something better. Plus need a front bumber and hood, thats my top priority. Bumpers all beat up b/c the guy fell asleep and ran through some heavy bushes. over all the car was in good condition engine was rebuilt and ported 2 years ago and runs strong. thanx for the info on a/f by the way.

Im sorry correct me if im wrong.
Odbviously a WB gauge is going to be more accurate.

But if his engine runs into any unsafe condition (ie very lean) he wont have time to react either way (with a WB or NB).

A NB gauge may not even recognize a unsafe condition, whereas a WB will. If it starts running lean, let off of the throttle, this is what they make dynos for..

well, with a WB, you'll need the WB o2 sensor also which needs another bung welded to your downpipe somewhere unless you get those nice AEM WB's that have wideband and narrow band outputs. Also, the NB A/F ratio can be converted to WB with a few circuitry tricks. Might save some money.
