i was driving home one night and decided to get happy in 3rd gear. i hit about 10-11 psi and the engine completly died. I checked the egi fuse and it was blown. i borrowed a fuse for my headlight motors and it seems to run fine now. what gives?

the thing is it happened once and thats it. ive driven about 250 miles since it happened and it hasnt happened again? do fuses get old?

 

Even if it happened once, that's probably still the problem.

 

I had the same problem in my car about a week ago, I kept blowing out fuses. Turned out there was a wire under my air intake that was stripped and grounding against the side of the car whenever I hit a bump in the road. Check all of your wiring from the fuel pump, and also the wires under your airbox. Hope this helps.............
