strange idling?
I was looking down at my tac, today driving home... werid idling going on again... I would blip(sp?) the throttle a little, move forward (in still traffic) .. let off the throttle.. As I watch the RPMs go down, it would go as far past the 500 mark and then try to stall on me.
This happen only once, when the TPS was bad - but this one (another tps) is pretty much brand new. I am not sure what it is. It's been doing it alot lately, whether or not I blip the throttle, or am sometimes stuck in heavy traffic.
Do you think I need to adjust the TPS again....?

Yep, and try checking for a few vac. leaks. I just suffered from the same thing. I put a new TPS on my 90 GXL and thought all my problems were over.....NOT! I had to adjust it. Then took some carb cleaner and sprayed it around the ends of the vac. lines and found a few vac. leaks. The carb cleaner will be sucked into the vac. lines in result the car will idle good for a min. Then just replace the lines that are leaking. It will take a little while but it's a easy way to pin point a vac leak.
Hope this might help!

I have the same problem, both before and after I had a rebuilt engine put in my car. The mechanic from Mazda claims that it is due to the Idle Control Valve being sticky. Mine is probably bad since it hasn't freed up yet. According to him, new this is about a $500 unit. I would suggest that you have the car checked out, and if needed, try and find a used one, which is what Mazda suggested. Off hand, I don't know if my Haynes manual tells how to check it.
