Thumbs up stock turbo on it's last legs?

Well, this isn't that big of a deal, but I figured I'd ask for some opinions.

Today I took the '87 TII out for a spin and it seemed like the exhaust tone was a little bit different, the BOV sounded a bit different, there was less power at the same boost level and also I've noticed some grimy oil-residue on the 'charge' pipe above my turbo... What do you guys think? If you say, "the turbo's crapping out" can you tell me if these are normal symptoms? I knew oil could leak or whatever, but loss of power, different sounds? BTW, the car pulls the same vac. and idles the same etc. Just sounds and feels a little different.

Mods are the basic bolt-ons, running 13psi--which may be the culprit for a 150k stocker...

I would say it is the turbo. My turbo is doing the exact same but it will smoke sometimes if it was worked alittler harder than normal.

I have the stock exhaust and haven't noticed any difference in sound but don't really hear it either. I have another stock turbo thats good just haven't got the time yet to install it.
